This slow-cooked lamb dish is perfect for this cooler weather.
Lamb pieces – use chops or shanks
1 cup water
2 tbsp malt vinegar
1 tbs brown sugar
½ tsp mustard
½ tsp ginger
½ tsp curry powder
¼ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup flour
Place lamb pieces in a casserole dish or crockpot.
Mix other ingredients (except flour) in a saucepan over a gentle heat.
Add flour gradually, stirring continually to avoid lumps.
Once mixture smooth, bring to the boil.
Continue to boil until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and pour over lamb pieces.
Cover and cook 2½ hours in a moderate oven, or for 8-12 hours in a slow cooker.
Serve with mashed potato and vegetables.
