Forget time-consuming pastry and complicated instructions. All you need to make this quiche is a bowl, a spoon, and a pie dish.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
1½ cups milk
½ cup self-raising flour
½-1 cup chopped meats (e.g. ham, bacon, salami, cooked chicken)
1 cup grated cheese
½ cup chopped green vege (e.g. beans, broccoli, spinach, peas, asparagus, pepper)
Salt & pepper to taste
Method:
Beat together eggs and milk
Sift in flour
Stir in remaining ingredients
Mix until combined (make sure there are no flour lumps)
Pour into a greased quiche or pie dish
Bake at 170°C for about ¾ hour, or until firm and golden brown.
Serve warm with salad and chutney; or slice and eat cold for packed lunches / picnics.
You can also make mini-quiches by cooking in muffin tins (reduce cooking time).
