Daily Challenge - 31 March

Writer's picture: BCC BlogBCC Blog

Each morning we post a fun challenge or competition.

You have until midday tomorrow to complete the activity and send us your response. We'll post the best ones here.

Today's challenge:

Compose a limerick about something or someone you know.

A limerick is a 5 line poem. Lines 1, 2 & 5 should rhyme and have the same verbal rhythm. Lines 3 & 4 should be slightly shorter but must rhyme with each other and share a similar rhythm.

For example:

I live in a house with a dog

Who lies at my feet like a log

I can't move to get up

To replenish my cup

So I'll stay here writing my blog.

Send your limericks to us at ourbccblog@gmail.com. They must be your own invention. No cheating (we can google too!). Let us know if you want your name included when we post it (kids let us know your age, too).

If you have any ideas for future challenges, drop us an email!
